Objective

The client contacted us to develop an insurance management app. The app enables end-users to create or update their policies with some important parameters including name, company name, insurance start date, insurance end date, premium amount, and beneficiary. The client wanted to make this insurance platform available for both Android and iOS along with a web-based admin panel.

The Challenges

 

  • Converting SQL query to MongoDB query.
  • Logwatch configuration and email integration
  • After v1.0 becomes live, migrating all insurance policies to v2.0 new policy structure.

Our Solution

Our in-house developers successfully migrated all insurance policies to the new policy structure in version 2.0. We integrated email functionality and configured logwatch with a base of MongoDB.

User Features

  • Login with email and social media like facebook and Google
  • Display a list of policies the user has created
  • Display list of policies in which the user is assigned as beneficiary
  • List of policies is grouped by the policyholder
  • List of policies categorized for better search
  • User can add his/her family member
  • User can set his/her family member as an insurer, policyholder and beneficiary
  • User can set multiple family members as a beneficiary
  • User will get a notification when any user set him/her as a beneficiary
